Acid activated solvent based cold paint stripper used in the process of reconditioning alloy wheels.
PCS 218 is a cold immersion paint stripper which as been developed to overcome the problems associated with more stubborn coatings such as staved enamel and powder coat systems.
PCS 218 may be used on ferrous and non ferrous metals, breaking down the coating with minimal attack on base metal, never use on plastic.
PCS 218 is ideal for jig stripping and rework reclamation where the multicoated films encountered require this strong acid accelerator and penetrant blend.
PCS 218 is widely used for alloy wheel stripping.
Pcs 218 is used neat and must not be diluted with water. Water contamination must be avoided as this may lead to possible corrosion of metal substrates. Use of an oil seal is advised to prevent solvent loss and reduce vapours. Immerse components in stripper and agitate if possible to speed up the stripping process, keep immersed until the paint has been removed or is sufficiently loose to be removed fully by high pressure rinsing.
Removal of stripped paint regularly will enhance the life of the product by using a filtration system.
Safety precautions need to be observed, see data sheet and MSDS for health and safety advice
