Oil Spill Dispersant (OSD)
In recent years considerable publicity has been given to the problem of oil pollution at sea, on beaches
and inland waterways. This has encouraged research into the development of products which effectively disperse oil slicks, but at the same time show negligible toxic effects to marine life. Several of the earlier oil dispersants developed were effective in controlling oil slicks, but showed an appreciable level of toxicity particularly when applied to beach cleaning and oil slick dispersion in shallow water. Performance Chemicals Limited have developed an efficient oil slick dispersant which overcomes the problems of toxicity.
APPLICATION:

on inland waterways, but is also recommended for the applications listed below:
1) Beach cleaning and treatment of oil spillages on dry land.
2) Cleaning of harbour walls.
3) Cleaning of oil storage tanks.
