PA 12
A highly alkaline caustic based powder for ferrous metals only. Removes carbonised oil and many paints/lacquers from ferrous metals.
APPLICATIONS:
PA12 finds applications in many types of industries for general oil and grease removal, but more readily for heavy duty carbonised oil, grease, oil and paint removal in soak tank cleaning applications. May be used when derusting of ferrous metals is also required. PA12 contains iron sequestrants.
METHOD OF USE:
Solutions for immersion are diluted using 25 to 60 grams per litre of water (2.5 to 6%) at between 85 to 950C. If derusting is a requirement, higher concentrations of 200g/lit may be necessary. PA12 solutions should be made up in cold water. After all applications rinse with clean running water. Use in a mild steel tank. Avoid contact with aluminium and any of its alloys.
NB. Where components are heavily rusted, further additions of Performance ref 16 (2 or 3 times) to the cleaning tank may be required. Consult your representative.
