PR 402A

£0.00

PR402A is a highly concentrated inhibited acid which will rapidly remove water scale, rust and concrete deposits. It is based on hydrochloric acid and contains a selected inhibitor system for the protection of most ferrous metals, copper, brass and bronze.

PR402A is ideal for descaling boilers, heat exchangers and associated plant. It removes rust
deposits and concrete from construction equipment, tools and scaffolding etc.

PR402A is suitable for ether soak or circulation cleaning of ferrous metals and where a minimum corrosion rate is acceptable for copper, brass and bronze. It is not recommended for use on galvanised steel, stainless steel, high tensile steels above 65 tons per square inch, soldered pipes or aluminium as these materials may be adversely affected.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

FOR DESCALING BOILERS, HEAT EXCHANGERS ETC.
Obtain a sample of the scale so that a bucket test can be carried out to ensure that the scale type is suitable for treatment using PR402A. Silica on its own will not be affected. At the same time assessment can be made of the concentration required in relation to the speed of clean necessary. Use PR402A at a 10% dilution in water for treating the system. Components which can be removed are soaked in PR402A and rinsed off with water. Dilute PR402A according to contamination and time permitted but a general guide for immersion is 1 part PR402A with 2 parts water. Always thoroughly rinse cleaned components and treat with a suitable rust preventative if required.

NB okay for glass lined boilers if sure not cracked, as product may lie in crevices. If unsure use Inhibited Sulphamic Acid.

STEAM CLEANER DESCALING:
Use PR402A at a 10% dilution in water. Circulate around the machine according to the manufacturers instructions. Run the machine cold.

CONCRETE REMOVAL:
Immersion of equipment in PR402A at a 2:1 dilution with water is the most effective. However, plant hire companies apply direct on to their equipment using neat PR402A. PR402A may also be used to remove excess cement from brickwork.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Take normal precautions for handling concentrated acids. Do not mix with bleach or any products containing hypochlorite. Do not heat or use on hot components and make sure that there is adequate ventilation.

For more detailed health and safety information request a hazard data sheet.
